About Sonlight

Sonlight is for kids. Lively and energetic, and a bit undignified as young people meet and experience God.

Founded by Winston and Mary Marugg in 1979, Sonlight is a non-profit, independent youth camp in southwestern Colorado. We offer summer camps for individual kids, and wilderness backpack trips for high school groups. Winter brings deep snow, and Sonlight is a ski lodge for youth groups skiing at nearby Wolf Creek ski area.

Sonlight, a great place for kids. A place to get away, face challenges, grow, learn and develop self esteem. Camp is where kids are in the presence of Jesus. Camp is community, accepting the challenge of working with others and a place to play hard in a safe environment. Camp is about life, becoming more commited, asking more questions, playing within boundaries and growing to be better people.
