CALLING ALL LADIES!
This week is designed for women desiring to seek God, be renewed in spirit and journey in pristine wilderness. As women, our days are typically full of busy schedules running from place to place and taking care of family and friends. Often in our running and caring, we forget to take care of the woman behind it all. We enjoy making all of the sacrifices that we do in our lives, but we need to allow ourselves time to rejuvenate so that we can continue doing all that we do with excellence and a full heart.
Come enjoy a journey of in the beautiful Weminuche Wilderness in the fellowship of other women. It will be a week to let your hair down, to ignore the dirt under your fingernails, and to forget about doing any laundry. It will be a time for YOU! We will summit a peak, sit by an alpine lake, drink coffee while watching the sunset, laugh around the campfire, and be completely absorbed in God’s incredible creation. There will be time for personal reflection and group discussion as well; about where we’ve been, where we are, and where we are going. The theme of Sonlight’s summer is “Journeys Through New Frontiers". And don’t forget…the week of hiking, sweat, and dirt will culminate with a lovely evening of soaking at the Pagosa Hot Springs Resort.
Sonlight will provide all of the gear you need including a backpack, sleeping bag and pad, tent, cooking and eating utensils, and food. You simply need to arrive with your personal items, a good raincoat, and a broken-in pair of hiking boots. No prior backpacking experience is necessary. The trip is limited to 13 women and 2 guides.
We hope you will join us for this week of adventure!
And rejuvenation for YOU this summer!
For 2011, we are continuing our voluntary 3-tier pricing program. Tier (C) represents the actual cost of a child at Sonlight. Tier (B) is a partially subsidized rate. Tier (A) is our historically subsidized rate. It does not nearly represent the true cost of camp operations.
We realize that families have differing abilities to pay. This program is totally voluntary (you choose the price), and it in no way influences the quality of experience each child receives. As always, additional financial assistance is available to ensure all children have this wonderful opportunity to attend camp.
Sonlight Christian Camp is an equal opporunity employer and service provider operating under special use permit on the San Juan National Forest. |
