Bus Driver/Light Maintenance


Time Frame: May 30 - August 9

Compensation: $190/week, plus room and board, workmen's compensation and laundry

Responsible To: Camp Director

General Responsibility:

To help the camp by transporting campers and staff in the camp school bus and assist with light maintenance of the camp facilities and vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A humble attitude to serve God
  • Ability and desire to operate camp school bus.(Driving campers to the trail heads, rafting, etc.)
  • Current Commercial Drivers License
  • Desire to assist with light maintenance
  • Desire to live and work in a camp community
  • Ability to do tasks as assigned
  • Ability to complete tasks independently
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Good character, integrity and adaptability
  • Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Must have a current CDL (commercial drivers license) with a school bus endorsement.
  2. Must be able to drive a school bus safely.
  3. Help the camp with light maintenance of the buildings and vehicles.

Essential Functions

  1. Ability to communicate with campers and other staff.
  2. Physical and mental ability to be with campers and staff.
  3. Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to each activity of the campers and staff
  4. Visual and auditory ability and mobility to complete daily staff tasks.
