Program Support Staff
Time Frame
May 30 - August 9 Compensation: First year staff $150/week, returning staff $170/week, plus room and board, workmen's compensation and laundry Responsible To: Camp Director Minimum Qualifications * Desire to live and work in a camp community
* Desire to work in a camp kitchen
* Ability to do tasks as assigned
* Ability to accept supervision
* Ability to work well with others
* Good character, integrity and adaptability
* Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control General Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glasses and silverware by hand and machine
- Sweep and mop kitchen, and dish room
- Take out trash from kitchen, dish room and dining room to trash trailer daily
- Clean and wash trash cans at least every other day, daily if needed
- Wash pots and pans
- Help unload supply truck and put supplies away
- Make sure dishwasher area is kept clean
- Straighten area after every meal
- Stock camper restrooms with toilet paper, paper towels and soap, and carry camper trash to trash trailer every day
- After each meal, set out clean dishes for campers to set tables for the next mea
- Keep the coffee bar clean and organized at all times
- Be a team player
- Help maintain teams course
- Organize recyclables: wash and flatten tin and metal; flatten aluminum cans; flatten and tie cardboard and newspapers
- Help in maintenance tasks as needed
