Israel

This old bunker is on Mt. Bental which is
a volcano near the Syrian and Lebanese border along the Golan Heights. From there you look down into Syria to a valley known as the "Valley of Tears" because of the all the people who died there in 1973 when the Syrians attacked on the Day of Atonement. Israel won
despite being extremely undermanned because of the holiday and fighting in tanks at night without the proper equipment to see in the dark. It is pretty cool that you can look down from these places and see where the border is because Israel is green and lush because people are looking after and working the land
but Syria is just brown and dead looking. It is known as the "green line."

The Ein Gedi is the area where David hid in the caves from King Saul. It is just this little oasis in the middle of the Judean wilderness. The little fresh water spring flows down to the Dead Sea.
