A Colorado mountain tour! Winston and Mary have been busy driving around Colorado - climbing a mountain or two, and visiting some camps. Check out photos tomorrow.....

Mighty green at camp, and durn quiet. Everything is resting, preparing for a new season. As we putter around camp finishing up the summer work and plan for fall I am reminded of JRR Tolkien's quote:
Little by little, one travels far
September 1 marks the date the registration form for the high school fall retreat will be available. Pastor Bill Mangrum from First Presbyterian Church in Durango is our speaker.

Winston and Mary are back from the Austin Seminary backpack trip. A few pics are loaded. We had a great trip in the Four Mile area. A bit of rain and hail, steep hills and fresh trout. Maui went to kitty camp at the vets while we were gone. He got a bit of a haircut. We'll leave it at that.

Happy Birthday Heidi! Staff wrapped up the summer on Saturday night, and head home today. School and new adventures are waiting. Winston, Mary and Jan hit the trail with a group from Austin Seminary tomorrow. We'll be in the wilderness for 8 days with them.

Rain and more rain. We love it. Check out Heidi's recent blog post. Don't forget to Shine. Pray for Sonlight as we evaluate this summer, and plan 2009. As Heidi says, we were not meant to do this alone. We need you and your prayers. Dani and Mary had lunch-for-two on Monday. Where 'o where did the staff go? Mikey Gigz is... well, cheerful looking with his goldi-locks.

Glow sticks and night time energizers. A great finish to Discovery Camp. One more Sonlight camp to go this summer- Wilderness Week for Boys. Friends of Florida College kiddos will be at Sonlight for the week.
