Lara and Samantha, Milly and Sam. The years kind of slide by, and we're welcoming second generation campers. It's been a summer of reflection. 11 children of former staff are campers this summer. Maui is older than most of our staff. The girls bathhouse floor finally gave out. It is our first summer since 1982 without the rec shed. Next summer is our 30th summer. It's all good!

Junior Camp! Lots 'o tiny little tykes. A couple second generation campers are with us this week, as well as some staff kiddo's. Lara's daughter Samantha is a camper. Amazing. Milly is a cook this week. Just like the good old days when she was on staff 23 years ago.

What a hike yesterday. A group summited Blackhead Peak, the peak you can see from the Sonlight meadow. The rest of the group got to the ridge between Blackhead and Nipple mountain. Lots of snow still, but a beautiful day. Chase put new routes up on the climbing wall, and is working on more holds for the bouldering wall.

Lots 'o fun at camp. You'll all be glad to know the news is out: the much-talked-about-boxes got opened this week, and we pulled out a foam machine! How awesome is that? Mountains of foam come out of the machine, and we all get to play in it. The staff room just ain't what it used to be. Look at the computers!

For all you old staffies, it has started. Late night staff room snacks. How great is that? Gina is here for the week to lend a hand. Charlie from South Texas is here for 6 weeks to give Michael a hand fixing all sorts of things. New staff are amazing. Dodgeball is amazing. Philly cheesesteaks are amazing. In fact, you are amazing.
